My name is Eldards Turyahebwa  , and I am honoured to serve as the founder and Chairman of this organisation. I hail from Masheruka, Sheema North deep in the heart of Ankole, Uganda, and have lived and worked in the United Kingdom for over 17 years. My journey has taken me across sectors including local government, education, health and social care, consultancy, and international business.

In March 2023, after returning from a business trip across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, I was hospitalised with pneumonia. It was a harrowing experience—five days in hospital, followed by a rapid and miraculous recovery. During that time, I had a dream: that one day, all Banyankole people living or domiciled in the UK would unite to collaborate on community work and create lasting impact. That vision became the spiritual foundation of BACO-UK.

Today, BACO-UK is more than an organisation, it is a family. We mobilise our community through cultural engagement, promote holistic wellbeing, empower careers and entrepreneurship, advocate for equity, and support families and children. Our work is rooted in unity, heritage, and service.
